Hungry boy!

Well things today are great! Dawson's biggest complaint seems to be he cannot eat enough! He had for breakfast: yogurt, applesauce, oatmeal, pudding and milk. Still seemed hungry but did not want to push our luck! Then for lunch: big bowl of mashed potatoes and gravy, a bowl of mac and cheese, some of moms cafe rio (Thanks, Mariah and Andrea!) milk and a cookie.
He also is much more alert today he is "reading" books, playing with toys and even walked a little what a relief. He was so proud of himself for walking I think because he kinda stopped walking a few days before we were hospitalized he was not sure if he could anymore.
Oh yea best part of the day so far, we got a big cheesy Dawson grin. I absolutely melted and he has not given us anymore so treasured it is. It seems that his personality is coming back with him grunting for a bite of food or yelling at me for putting him down, oh how I love this boy!
I want to close this update with one word!
GRATEFUL

Kristen and David,
I am so happy for you both. You are a great couple with such a wonderful family. I got to speak with your mom and dad after my visit the other day. What incredible faith and support. I know the Lord will bless you guys and this will be counted as one of your root faith building experiences. We keep you in our prayers.

Good luck my young little friend, Dawson, you're a fighter and a lover of food after my own heart!

I loved the grunting (if you really want to call it that--maybe screatching) for the Cafe Rio. This kid knows what's good! I'm so glad I got to see him and that he is doing so well. Seriously, so grateful!!

Kristen and David,

I'm a friend of Nancy Keener's. She told me about your struggles. As a mom, I can't even imagine what you must have been going through. Even though I don't know you, I'm so grateful to the doctors who realized so quickly that Dawson was in need of serious help. You are in my thoughts.
